After four months we're back with all new Detroit Rock and Roll!! Featuring Stroller Coaster, The Chiropractiers, Black Ghost Bandit, Leaving Lifted, King Ludy and a new song with past guests Andy Gagnon and Kristi O. We also talk about our friend hypnotist Kevin Lepine, the Musicians Community Center, and the making of our new music video!!
When I attended IMS (http://goims.org) last year, we were given a lyric sheet written by DJ Corey D to see what we could come up with. Well, here's what I came up with (featuring Andy Gagnon and Santo Ludy). Music from Fiona Corrine, Johnny Roastbeef, King Ludy, and Detroit's legendary Trash Brats!!
In this shorter ep, we get a very much more laid back Bill. Due to performing the night before for the first time in a few years with the whole Halfway II band!! A special thanks to the New Way Bar, Maria Wade (you'll hear a Maria song, by the way), and The Sympathy Orchestra. TSO unfortunately don't have any recordings yet, but head on over to their site at http://www.thesympathyorchestra.com/ and check out some live footage. We have music from the aforementioned Maria Wade, Fires In Japan, Voice of Addiction, Amanda Cooksey, Mic Skillz, and of course Halfway II !! Check out http://compoundfracturethemovie.com, http://goims.org, http://camelclutchblog, and http://urreolafilm.com.
Live on tape from the Halfway II Studios at 8 Mile and Gratiot, Hamill's Halfway House brings to you two long lost East Detroit gems, as well as new jams from Maria Wade's new project Black Ghost Bandit, Kashis Klayfield, and Elvira Kalnik. A song from the Dudes, and because it's my show Detroit Perfect and Halfway Hamill!! A special shout out to Wes at http://compoundfracturethemovie.com, Corey and Allen at http://goims.org, and Eric at http://camelclutchblog.com!!
Anybody who has listened to the show from the start, has heard me rave on about Lazerface. Well, now I'm proud to announce I have both Nick and Scott in the studio for an interview and to rock it out!! Also music by The Gutter Ghouls, Stroller Coaster, The Chiropractiers, Leaving Lifted, Plaid on Flannel, and J. Leon!!
This ep contains an interview and jam with former and hopefully future Halfway II violinist, the very lovely and talented Kristi O. I've always joked with the boys, that compared to Kristi we were nothing but a bunch of hacks. She is a true musician's musician. We've also got music by the likes of Drizzle, More Like Sunday, Alien Inquisition, Sheefy McFly & The Delorean, Y Lizzie, and Eclipse.
Warning: explicit content, as we're bound to offend some folks with this one. Remember, it's all in good fun.
You're definitely gonna wanna tune in to this edition of Hamill's Halfway House. First King Ludy stops by, then it's time for my guest none other than than the great, one of a kind (and if that's not an understatement, I don't know what is) Andrew John Gagnon. Andy's played with the best of 'em from Chuck Berry to Jerry Lee Lewis to Martha Reeves to too many to mention here. Andy and I have been friends for 10 years, and that's exactly what you get, two close friends just shooting the shit. You'll get to hear Andy perform some of his original material, and I'll be spinning tunes by those that Andy has some connection to. If you know either Andy or I you'll know this one's not for the lighthearted or the easily offended (now just imagine putting the two of us together in the same room)!!
It's a brand new era here at The House. I'd like to thank the late Rok Out Radio for the opportunity, but it's on to new and exciting things!! This week's show features an interview with drummer Larry Riddell of The Chiropractiers as well as their song "Feel Good". Hollywood's Kevin Stanley, the Elogikal Music Group consisting of X-Change, Good Money, and E-Roc, Rochester, NY's Fiona Corinne, Carmel Liburdi, a sappy Halfway Hamill love ballad along with Detroit Perfect's stance on said sappy love ballads, Adriana Nikole, Jacksonville, Florida's Halemerry, and from South Carolina Pain!!
This is the last show to appear on Rok Out Radio. Much love and respect to those guys, but it's on to bigger and better things for those of us here at Hamill's Halfway House!! Featuring Bad Boy Prezy, Plaid On Flannel, Andrew John Laffan Prister, Thabz C and music and interviews from Againstthe Grain, Maria Wade, and Adam and Juan's friend Savannah, whom they'll hopefully tell us where to find!!

Leon Music produced by Andrew John Laffan Prister, Reverbnation artist of the week Brooke Mackintosh Music, The Chiropractiers, Leaving Lifted, Genghis Ganj, and an interview with none other than MC Sampler!!
